Hello all,
I was browsing facebook and came across a different diy makeup article. The article talked about using crayola crayons and pencils in place of eyeliner and lip liner. Although I do not plan on trying this technique, I am rather curious as to others opinions on this topic. I have tried some very odd diys before but this one isn't very appealing to me. So what are your thoughts on" Crayola beauty"?

Lol I saw the tutorial on how to use it, the "guru's" said to heat the pencils in warm water first. lol but they didn't say how to remove it. As a kid I remember melting crayons on rocks, I guess it's a similar concept?

I actually saw a couple of diy videos on youtube, this girl was making unusal color lipsticks with melted crayons, vaseline, coconut oil and what not... Once done it looked just like your regular opaque glosses lol... There are crayons for kids that are safe (cuz a lot of small children put em in their mouth),and when you think about it its just wax, pigments and vaseline...Doesn't sound toxic to me,but still would not do it,you can buy any color lip product nowadays, not worth the diy...

Ohh okay! You're talking about the DIY where they melt it to make it into a lipstick, haha. Yeah I've seen people do that and like Teodora said, it's just like your average lipgloss with a bit of pigment in them haha.

This is the article that caught my attention http://www.dailydot.com/lifestyle/don't-use-crayola-makeup/?fb=dd&type=cpc
But I agree Teodora, you can buy any color of actual lip or eye products, lol no reason to raid the art supplies!!

I wouldn't try it personally

I don't think it would be safe as an eyeliner, although I o want to try out the lipsticks because I am a fan of extremely bold, out there lipstick but don't like ordering online or spending loads of money.

@Riff I saw Nyx sells unusual colored lipsticks,if youre interested, Macaroons is the name of the collection, or smth like that... They are cheap and you can mix and match them to get exact shades you want.

Teodora, yeah I've been looking into them but no stores around me sell them so I have to order online.
