Hi everyone,
I recently had a reaction to eyebrow tinting, I do them myself with a kit at home. I have been using the same product for months now and it has always been ok until now.
My eyebrows have gone very red and sore 😟
The day before I tinted my eyebrows I dyed my hair, could this have anything to do with it?
Thanks x

Coloring your hair won't have anything to do with this. are you using anything different in your face routine? is your skin dry or did you just recently wax or tweeze? if the tint needs to be mixed, you may have mixed something wrong. there's a lot of things that can come into play, even of yiu removed it with something different or scrubbed to hard it could irritate them.

No I can't understand what has happened. I did everything the same as I normally would. I didn't wax/tweeze beforehand and my skin isn't dry. I removed it with warm water and cotton wool as I normally would. I'm scared to use it again now incase it's worse next time!!

You are probably experiencing what is called allergic dermatitis. At the beginning it didn't cause you any grief but with regular use have developed an intolerance for the suspected product. One of the symptoms of it is itching...and for some it can become severe. Then you have contact dermatitis which is very similar in nature but with not only itching but with burning (pain) and sometimes fissures on the affected area.
I highly advise to not use the product anymore and allow the area to heal itself. I wouldn't risk using it again in the future...especially if you run the risk of having the same experience again.
