I'm planning to get some maxi skirts and dresses for this summer. I'm 1.52 meters, 5 feet I think, I don't want to look like skirt is wearing me. Do you have any tips, pictures and outfits? thanks in advance ^^

I was afraid of this exact thing because I'm about an inch shorter than you and loads of people suggested wearing wedges c:

I've researched a lot on that bec I lovewearing maxi dresses but they look horrible on me ( I'm short) then I saw this thing on YouTube and I don't have a problem wearing maxi stuff anymore it reall depends on your hairstyle, shoes, jewelry...

The best way to not be eaten by the skirt is with crop tops it looks real cute when you have a nice long skirt and a shorter shirt I'm short too so I know your struggle 5" 1

I'm about 5'1" and I've had some good luck finding maxi skirts that aren't extremely long on me at Charlotte russe. I agree to wear a crop top or shorter fitted top with them. I also find the ones with a high slit look better on me, I guess because it shows a little leg and doesn't look like a ton of huge fabric on me, it adds a little shape and the ones I've found are more fitted to the butt area which helps as well. Also hi low ones look better. Just try to find pieces that aren't so baggy and with more shape

JC Penney has a petite section & when j worked there they had maxi skirts & dresses. Avoid patterns tho or at least bold ones. Wearing the same color top & bottom adds an illusion of height too.

I think it'll look good regardless of your size :) just make sure its not too long, if the skirt is too long then I'd suggest rolling it inwards (instead of rolling it outwards like with jeans etc, where you can see the cuff) and it pretty much shortens it to however much you want! :)

Also wear it right where your waist/beginning of your hips are, because if its any higher it might make the skirt look too overpowering, so just keep that in mind too :)

I'm the same height! I find tighter fitting maxis suit shorter people better than really flowy ones as they don't drown the person out. I love long skirts :) but all mine are quiet tight fitting.
