It works but you have to be patient. the stronger percent has to be prescribed. you can find drugstore brands like Afirm, Alpha Hydrox, Roc Retinol and Neutrogena rapid release it will say for wrinkles.

I've used it off and on for about 15 years for acne and now anti aging as I'm 33. I think it can help, but it's very drying so you are almost trading one problem for another. I can use it with a good moisturizer though. You have to start at a low level dose, like.025% and gradually work up to a higher dose based on your tolerance. You also have to start maybe a few times a week to work up to every day or every other day. I feel that it primarily initiates cell turnover and exfoliation. My face is peeling generally after one use (I do use.1% which I believe is the highest dosage). I've never been able to have it completely wipe out acne for me (that took Accutane and now spirolactone).

Retin A and Tretinoin are the same thing. The difference is that Retin A is a brand name while Tretinoin is its generic. The vitamin form of both, and you can only get it with a prescription is Accutane (brand) which is not allowed in USA. One of the generic of Accutane I was on is Clavaris. I was on generic Tretinoin for a whole year, but my acne was so severe that it didn't help me. My dermatologist out me on Accutane which helped me a lot with my cystic acne. After I finished 6 months of Accutane, I started to get acne during my periods but it goes away pretty quickly. Tretinoin is used for acne and post acne scarring. One of its side effects besides making skin very sensitive and red, is that it makes wrinkled go away (yes it is actually it's side effect) there fore a lot of women use it for the purpose of getting rid of wrinkles.
