I'm starting a new job at a salon I'm pretty close with the manager and they don't have a specific dress code it's very trendy. I'm an esthetician but I'll be doing spray tanning, waxing, lash extensions and possibly makeup in the future. we will be doing a lot of bridal and Bachelorette packages. Anyways, I'm going shopping this week for new clothes and I have no idea what to wear. I'm not worried about ruining my clothes I've done spray tanning for a Lil while now and never had an issue. any pics would be awesome!

I want it comfortable so I can bend down and not expose anything and it's cold here now.

I don't have really any clothing ideas, besides nice blouses and pencil skirts because I always think those look nice But since you will be doing spray tans and things. always look on the clothing tags to make sure that you can wash it to be able to get the stains out if you get any also look for fabrics that are easy to get things out of them.

Wear some cute cardigans or sweaters, than wear some comfortable straight pants with boots. Than wear some nice jewlery like a long necklace and some rings.

Here's a few outfits I found. I happen to love the way pencil skirts fir because they are hight waisted so nothing up top shows and they are longer so nothing down below shows. And if you look for ones with a stretchy material they are so comfy. And you can always pair them with tights and a pair of booties since its colder.

Also dressy trousers can be really comfy if you find the right fit and material for you.

Don't wear long necklaces because you'll probably be leaning over people.

Look at the way the other girls in the salon dress. A loose rule of thumb is to wear black. I'm a MUA and even though not all the hairstylists in my salon wear black, I still do just to project that image. Not all of the time of course. I love having the freedom to wear want I want cuz I'm kinda a fashion freak. That's my best advice!

Thanks so much ladies! I love all of your ideas and appreciate all the time to look for those pics Shawna. Kathryn I wear a lot of neutrals as is, mainly black and whites grays creams navy blue so I agree I like the look so it'll be easy for me to stick to mainly black. Luckily with the staining Shawna I never had my solution stain anything so far but I agree I should keep an eye out on the tags just in case!

Ven though my salon doesn't have a specific dress code, I always wear a lot of black to work. most of my Co workers do too. right now there's a lot of leggings, boots and sweater dresses going on. black always looks professional and put together, even if it's just a black shirt and black pants, hair in a bun and good make, it still looks on point.
