Can anyone recommend the BEST skin care products for me. I.e. makeup wipes, cleanser, toner, facewash, moisturiaer. This winter my skin has become so awful. Mega breakouts and very dry! I'm so unknowledgable when it comes to skin care. I'm also from the UK!

Very gentle facial wash that has non-comedogenic ingredients (lots of lists of comedogenic ingredients online, you must avoid those if you do not want any more acne), hard to say what brands you have there, but a gentle face wash, no toner at all (may strip your additional natural moisture further), makeup wipes not necessary, just use the gentle face wash, benzoyl peroxide 10% nightly, ideally a moisturizer with hyaluronic acid in it (adds moisture back into your skin, without clogging pores), and a light moisturizer to apply during the day when needed. The key is to keep your skin moisturized (with a moisturizer that has non-comedogenic ingredients in it) because your skin being dry contributes to further acne, because the dry skin blocks the pores from excreting their natural oils, so it builds up and you have acne). Do not use all acne everything, for example face wash, toner, moisturizer, because these will further dry your skin. Also, apply salicylic acid on areas that has broken out, this dries pimples out.
I can tell you which products to avoid, based on my experience and the ingredients: Proactiv, Neutrogena, Cetaphil, Clean & Clear, La Mer, Noxzema, and so forth.
Here's a link to a page that lists all the acne ingredients:

Hope it goes well! If you find the right products, and apply moisturizer throughout the day when dry, you should feel the dryness subside within a week. It's not that your skin is dirty, so you need to clean it more, it's because your skin is dry, and you have to put moisture back in. Find a moisturizer, apply morning and night, and throughout day!

And just because a product says 'oil-free' does not necessarily mean it is good for you! You might be able to get away with most cleansers, because they do not sit on your skin on all (except sodium laurel sulfate), but those ingredients in other products is a definite no-no.

If your breaking out its because your skin is too dry. Your oil glass are over compensating, and poof, pimples.
I also have horribly dry skin. I just did a post of tips and products I use to get through winter.

For dry skin try a cleansing oil, your skin will feel hydrated (Josie maran argan cleansing oil) then follow up with a hydrating serum and a generous amount of moisturizer

DO use toner, just read the ingredients to make sure it doesn't contain alcohol. I love the simple brand, not sure if its in the UK though?

Hi I'm from the UK. I've just changed my skin care as I have a similar problem to you bit with an oily t zone. I use simple face wash and light moisturiser and fir a toner i use plain rose water. I've noticed its less sore, less break outs and my skin tone has evened out. I hope this helps.

Our skin doesn't cope we'll with change, if you have moved, changed your routine and or any face products that could be the culprit! I agree with everything that Michelle said! And do try and and be gentle we tend to OVER do it with our skin... Too many harsh products too much stimulation by washing and scrubbing. Take it slow... Pick out a new routine (if your skin is super dry use all your "medicated" products for acne at night and use something super gentle in the am. And do this new routine for 30 days (that's how long it takes for our skin to adjust to new things) then see how your skin is... If it isn't better just switch something in or out!
