Read makeup books. Not many people do so, but it really helped me out. I love bobbi brown books, sonia kashuk books, etc. (: And you can get them from the library

My favorite tip is putting a slightly darker foundation or concealer on the spot between your lower lip and chin to make your lips look fuller (basically your making a shadow). Its weird but affective!
