I normally use my hands, so I was wondering which is better? A brush or beauty blender? I use Maybelline Fit Me foundation and concealer and I have some acne, so what would be better for the best coverage without it looking cakey?
Thanks x

Depends on which brush. Are you asking about a specific one?

A beauty blender soaks up product and deludes the foundation with water, thats why it makes foundation easiee ti blend but it also lightens the coverage. For fuller coverage I would reccomend a synthetic fiber brush, such as signa's F80 or mac's 190x

Are there cheaper ones I could get that work just as well or similar?

I really love the Kashuk Tools #4, flat top for working with liquids and BB creams. I use my BB dupe for thinning out pancake and creme foundation and that's about it. I think the flat top works well for anything as long as it isn't too runny or liquid-y. If it's super liquid, I'd use a flat paddle brush.

If you're comparing the BB to a cheap brush then I personally would just go for the BB at that point.. if you need some serious coverage, the Beauty Blender won't help in that department too much but you can always conceal using a concealer brush.

Put it all over your face with the brush, smooth it out with the beauty blender.
