I have a first impression review for you guys! For those of you who saw my last mascara review, and said they wanted more mascara reviews, here I am! Lol. (Let me know of any other ones you want reviews of!).

This time I will be reviewing : Rimmel Scandal Eyes Rockin' Curve mascara. (Non-waterproof) price: $5.99

I'll go over packaging, formula, how I applied, wear, and overall thoughts. So here we go.

Packaging: I LOVE the packaging. It's one of my favorite color combos, red and black. Another thing that's cute is the snake skin, it's textured and I loved it. Lol. It's a bit chunky but that doesn't bother me, as long as it fits in my small hands, I'm good! Lol.
Wand: which ties into the packaging, the wand! It's very oddly shaped. Like a half heart is what I think they were going for. The wand is pretty big but I have big eyes so it's cool for me, I would assume those with smaller eyes would have a hard time lol...because I did have some trouble and it was messy (as you will see) for being so big. Also, I did NOT attempt to do my lower lashes with this haha however the very tip of the brush would definitely work for that, I believe.

How I applied: okay, so once I took it out of the tube the formula just looked chunky and thick, which "VOLUME" comes to my mind right away...but nope. I applied for first coat, literally 1 and 1/2 swipes over the eyelashes (with the "bump" facing downwards)nothing..just length and stuck together lashes..second coat, same s1 1/2 swipe along the lashes with the bump facing upwards, so it was coating the lashes...more clumps... 3rd coat, I just wiggled it through the lashes both ways. CLUMPY ALL THREE COATS, and it wasn't getting better but I'll get to that in my conclusion.

Formula & wear: as I stated above, the formula was thick and kind of clumpy. I do like that with certain wands but this was not working for it. It wasn't wet, but it wasn't dry either...just clumpy that's all I could describe it as. I would like the formula if it were a different brush. HOWEVER, the wear was amazing I've been wearing it for nearly 4 hours now but it hasn't flaked nor smudged at all. I usually don't have that problems with mascaras though... I think it holds up pretty well. Also, I DO NOT curl my lashes and never have a problem with them staying curled because they naturally are so I can't have a say for that.

Overall, this mascara gave me amazing length! Volume? Not so much...just clumps. It made me look like I had 10 lashes haha. I can see myself using this maybe with a separating mascara and one that adds a tad more volume for the roots, otherwise it's a complete dud on its own in my opinion. The packaging looks pretty though, so that's a win!

Have any of you guys tried this mascara? How did you feel about it?

PS EXCUSE MY BROWS AND I REMEMBER I WANTED TO DO THIS IN THE MIDDLE OF DOING MY MAKEUP SO I APOLOGIZE YOU CANT SEE MY NATURAL LASHES CLEARLY

Hahahah I couldn't keep up with a blog 😁 thank you though! I try! If you do want to try one I suggest the regular Scandal Eyes or Rimmel WOW lash! Those are good :)

Thank you Jeremiah!

Thanks Les. You think so? I didn't like it, it made t eyelashes clump in twos after the first coat! Actually, it doesn't look bad in the first, just take a separating mascara or clean mascara brush for natural lashes, you're right. Glad I could help contributing to your shopping lmao!

Wow, yeah that is super clumpy, but maybe worth it for the length. I just got a new lash comb from Kashuk tools and it has widely space metal teeth. It is totally handy for removing clumps and seperating lashes. My other lash combs are too narrowly spaced for safely removing clumps. I always fear that I might just yank out my lashes.
Thanks for the indepth review. I'm always tempted by Rimmel's mascaras, because I love the whole scandalize line tbh. But that wand is waaaaay to big for my tiny little Howard Moon eyes.

Isn't it Jenny? Thank you for the brush recommendation! I had a brush like that but who knows where it wondered off to. Anywho, the regular scandal eyes is great! This one just wasn't my thing.

Great review. I was eyeing this mascara. I think I might pass on it. For the clumpiness alone.

I love your reviews! You put so much personality into them
It stinks that it's clumpy because the packaging looks great. Thanks for sharing :)

I own this mascara as well. I hate the wand on this but I think your suppose to flip it to the tip for inner lashes. Then use the wider part for the outer lashes. I do however lovethe Scandalized Retro Glam. I'm on my second tube of that one. Two coats have my lashes looking very full and lengthy.

Thank you for the tips and suggestion, Ema! I'll have to check that one out. I'm an extreme mascara junkie so any new recommendations is nice haha.
