I'd really like to try a dark purple hued lipstick but I don't really know where to start or what would look best, I attached a picture for skin tone reasons!

I agree with renay, smoked purple would look amazing on you! But you could also try nightmoth,cyber, punk couture and heroine (all by Mac)

Diva and sin. Not a really deep purple color but rebel would look nice on you too. I personally like to use mac's lip mix in burgundy.
