I really want to die my hair a dark eggplant purple color and I already have almost black hair. Would a stylist have to bleach my hair or something super harmful like that to get this color?

I don't think so for bleaching, because its a dark not light color...

As long as you go to a good hairstylist you shouldn't have any damage.

If your hair is already dark then you can just use a purple dye and it'll give your hair a purple tint (:
