How could I style my hair?

I have natural curly hair and I really want a Tyler-Oakley-type hair style. Something short, but no quiff. My forehead is quite large so I perfer bangs. Also, what hair colors would look best if I cut it short? I get tired of my hair a lot, I want something new. Attached is a photo of my hair and in the bottom corner is a picture of Tyler. If you do go short and keep the bangs, I think you should flat iron your bangs or it may look strange.

Oh and I think you would rock a dark brown/chestnut (ty) type color.
