I put half my head red in opposite clumps with the remainder a golden blonde. I've had the red for three weeks and have washed my hair a total of four times. The underneath clump is turning pink/purple shade and the top is turning a burnt orange color. Cant have these colors... Red is fine, but pink and orange I can't have. My question is, if I put a red on top will it take better and last longer the second go around, or will it fade just a fast?

My last go round with pink didn't last beyond 3 washes even after the second time dying it.

I don't think it'll take any better the second or third time. you'll have to just keep touching it up. you could get a semi permanent color like.manic panic, special effects, etc..to refresh the color in between root touch ups. that's what I do and I do that about every two weeks. its a pain but so is faded hair lol.

No.. Best bet is to rinse with cold water.. As cold as you can possibly stand of your scalp. Cold water closes your hair cuticle and prevents fading and bleeding
