I am a brunette with hazel eyes and I was wondering if someone whose good with hair color could help me figure out whether I should stay brown or if blonde would look good on me.

I'm not a colorist but from looking at your pic I find your naturally brown hair to be beautiful. Plus, I wanted to add that maintaining blond (just knowing those who are bottle blond) involves work to keep it looking sharp. I always hear them complaining of getting touch ups and the expense of it all.

I had dyed/bleached blonde hair for one whole year and it was hard to maintain and in the end my hair was a dry mess. If you feel you are able to handle/afford frequent salon visits (I did mine myself because I was in college and funds were tight...big no no) and are prepared to buy special products to help your hair well moisturized and to keep brassiness away then go for it. If not I would stay dark and maybe just get some highlights to change things up. I'm going back natural now and I'm realizing just how unhealthy my hair has been all these years that I was coloring it. I've now made it my goal to have a whole head of my natural hair back and haven't colored in months. On a positive note though, I had so much fun being blonde. I'm naturally a dirty blonde color but being full on blonde was so fun. I would just recommend going about it with professional coloring though. Anything out of a box is going to be disastrous.
I think you have a lovely natural hair color though :) if I had such a nice natural color I would never have colored my hair to begin with lol

I have to agree with the ladies above me. Maybe try going a lighter brown or ombré look if your wanting a new look.

Your coloring is pale and cool. You could lighten it up but think Princess Kate.

It's up to you, natural is gorgeous on you, but so would blonde! Perhaps go ombré or try blond highlights!

Blonde would look so good on you. You're pretty fair skinned so if you were to go blonde you should go for a ash toned, light blonde. Not golden or honey blonde

I love your brunette hair, though if you really want to go blonde I would start out with a dark blonde and the suggestions of ombre I have to agree with, it would be super easy to maintain since your natural would be on top and the ends would be dip dyed blonde, I think thats a great idea- perfect for the new year, maintaince, and perfect for a new look/change, and I think your hair would be prefect for the ombre style :-)

Coming from a naturally brunette person who has been blonde for 3 years now and worked in hair salons I wouldn't if I was you!
I wish I wouldn't have dyed my hair so much.
I have tricotillomania (pull my hair) so I have to be very blonde for my thin spots not to show. Other wise I would be dark.
Keep your nice healthy brown hair!

I have hazel eyes and I've been a light brown all my life. I've gone both darker and lighter. Once I went blonde though. I HATED IT! I cried and made my cousin dye it back! Stay brown! You look beautiful!

I have the same hair as you and I went blonde through the summer, if you really want to do it and make it look alittle more natural, start out with doing highlights and casually work your way up by keep putting them in every month or so....

You have beautiful hair! Its hard to guess, but try giving yourself a few blonde highlights in the undermost layers of your hair and see how you like it :)
