If your virgin hair is brassy and needs toner talk to your local hairdresser and they can suggest simpler options to take away the brassy tones

Actually if you use a really concentrated toner shampoo, like the one from Lush, it will eliminate brassy tones from black hair and give you a really shiny, glossy blue black. But you're going to have to leave the shampoo in for a while to get that.
