I hear a lot of people using eyeshadow bases and I'm not sure if they just use a base or a primer than an eyeshadow base? whst is your opinion on this because sometimes if I wear light eyeshadows and just a primer you can still see some of my veins on my eyelids so I was just windering do you use a primer first than base or replace your primer with the base alone then put eyeshadow on?

I use both, only one at a time, sometimes I use my prolongwear concealer too. Just depends on my mood that day and how blah I look that morning. I never double up on primers and bases because it's not really necessary and I feel it's a waste of product.

I use a primer and then a base on top of that. If I don't the base tends to crease on me.

I use a primer if I'm just using shadow but if I need colors to pop more then I put a white base on top of my primer. I'm the same as Michelle, if I use just a base with no primer then it creases on me because of my eye shape.

You can try Benefit Stay don't tray :) is a primer with color (light medium/medium dark shades) :) your veins are not going to show up

I used soo many eyeshadow primers and got no where with them..my eyes would react terribly and it just sucked. I recently started using my mac prolongwear concealer as my primer and base and it works so well..no creasing, no oily lids, and it gives such a smooth finish to my eyeshadow. using 1 product instead of 2 is a plus as well.

Thank you everyone for your advice! I guess I will just have to try it out and see which one I prefer right now I only one nyx jumbo pencil in milk which a lot of people use as a base but would that work for every eyeshadow that needs a base? or should I look into getting a more skin color base?

Ok thank you so much I will definitely look into a skin colored base.
