Is this MOTD good enough for portfolio?

I know I've posted this pic before (although I can't find it now) but this is a different question. Do you ladies think it's good enough to put in my portfolio? I know there's an issue with my liner on my left lid, I just don't know how I feel about using photoshop to fix it. Aside from that, can you ladies advise me as to whether or not I should show this as my work? Is it good or should I not use it?

I like the makeup it is pretty good (as I can see, I can't zoom) but I am not sure about the photo. I meant the whole photo.

I know the background isn't ideal. I can't take professional pics right now so I'm stuck doing selfies at the salon.

No, I am not about the background, try to take the photo from the front it will be more realistic, if it makes sense.

See if you can connect with a photography student needing to fill his or her portfolio. Just provide the models/makeup and the student photog can provide the picture taking. Its a win/win for both. The most that would come out of pocket is probably paying for the paper and the time involved for that person to develop it. Or maybe you'll luck out and they won't charge for that expense. Check into an area community college with a photography/art dept.

I like the makeup, however I find that the photo lacks good quality. Was it taken with a phone camera? I think a portfolio picture should be nice and crisp with a professional camera.

Shauna yeah, it's taken with an iPhone. I don't have a great camera nor someone to take pics for me (especially if it's a client I'm doing in the salon) so right now I'm relying on selfies. It sucks but I'm trying to work with what I've got.

I'm so jealous of how stunning you always look! I say yes to putting it into your portfolio. Maybe you could explain to your clients that you don't have a professional camera yet. You could try having some sort of a background in future pictures. Even a colored or patterned sheet! Lol. Otherwise I think it looks great! 😊

The make up is nice but as someone who has had portfolio reviews for positions I wouldn't use the photo.

Investing in a point and shoot, tripod and taking the photos in natural light will showcase your skills and professional better.
