I absolutely LOVE mac's 217 brush, but I have sensitive eyes, so it feels quite scratchy on my eyes. Is there a brush that's as good, just softer?

Any brush thats softer than the 217 won't work EXACTLY the same due to the "give" of softer bristles or hairs. But you can get some similar ones. Here are the ones I have. The 217 is the 1st one.
2. Studio Basics 2 in 1 blending/smudging brush. Not the same shape as the 217 but way softer and does a great blending job...plus It's TWO brushes in 1.
3. Another double ended brush., the SENNA EYE 2. The larger end is slightly larger than the 217 & the smaller end is slightly smaller than the 217. IT's the softest eye brush I own.
4. Sephora Blending Eye Shadow 71 is the closest in shape to the 217. Softer than 217 but not as soft as the SENNA or the STUDIO BASICS.

Here's a comparison of the 217 with the Hakuhodo version. Supposedly the Hakuhodo is much softer. The 217 is supposedly better for packing on color and Haukuhodo better for blending. This woman has sensitive eyes as well and found she could no longer stand to use the MAC 217.
