I want to my hair maybe a blue turquoise colour, but I don't want it too shockingly colorful if you know what I mean. I currently have dark brown hair with lighter ombre ends. I'm thinking about using a live colour xxl dye called turquoise temptation but I'm worried it'll be shocking rather than dark? I'd like it to be a definite blue turquoise but dark. Can anyone offer any suggestions of what to do? Sorry if this makes no sense!
P.S. I don't want to bleach my hair
thank you!!

You want the ends to be turquoise or the brown? Or the whole thing?

If you use a vivid dye over dark hair, it gives more of a stain than a bright change. Of course it depends on how dark your hair is.

Renay the whole thing :) Emily, it's sort of the same color as...um...slightly lighter than melted chocolate? I can't think of what to compare it to. So the darker my hair, the darker the dye turns out? would it make a difference on the end colour if I left it on my hair for longer/shorter?

The ombré part will turn out lighter since the hair is lightened. It won't come out as vibrant on the dark part as it will the light. If it's blonde on the ombré part it will probably turn straight up Aqua haha unless you leave it for only a few minutes, as for the darker part it'll just leave more of a tint on your hair like you want.

If your hair isn't light to begin with you won't end up with a vibrant shade, more of a tint that will mostly be noticable in the light.
