Sooo...once again my 'stylist' left me very disappointed with my hair color.
I asked for a purpley red and got straight up dark brown with a hint of red. Oh and my roots don't match the rest if my head. Lovely.
Is there anyway I can get the color I want at home? Like putting an eggplant color dye on top?

I want the same color! my hairdresser actually did a very good job since she mixed 5 different hair dyes to acheive this colour. I honestly don't know how to get that colour at home. recently I dyed my hair at home and used garnier nutrisse hair color in deep burgundy. it definitely gave that purple colour and as it faded it turned more red. I'll try to find a picture of what it looked like. It's not exactly like the picture but I was happy with the outcome.

I would choose another stylist if it happened more than once 😣
Since your stylist left you disappointed once again

Look on YouTube the different tutorials and reviews but seems ok
I personally know a person that had dark brown hair and she got a burgundy hair color using this

I think she used red and burgundy to achieve the color she wanted.

I used red and burgundy of that brand and just got straight up deep red. I've also been considering this color too and have yet to find a good quality due to achieve it.
You should say something to the hairdresser though. That is terrible service

I'll look into what you all suggeste, thanks! :)
It's just an awkward situation with my hairdresser. She's my moms best friend and has been doing my hair since I was little. I mean, I like how she cuts my hair but color is always 50/50. It's been 20 years since she went to beauty school. Not like that's an excuse for her to do a bad job tho.
