I tried the Internet but all I've concluded is that I'm going blind and quite possibly dying. My top eye lids so itchy and it almost feels scaly to the touch. This isn't the first time it's happened but it's definitely been the worst. Any ideas what could be causing this? And anytbjng I could use to help it.

I would avoid touching it and putting anything on it except for maybe some kind of soothing lotion. I highly suggest that you see a doctor ASAP.

I actually work for ohpthalmologists, I might be able to help. Is it both eyes and is there any redness of the eye?

Is it the top of the eyelid or where your lashes come in?

Nope it's the surface of my eyelid! The entire thing :( I.

Sounds like Blepharitis. Kind of like dandruf of the eye. Take a warm wash cloth and a little bit of anti bacterial soap and scrub along your lashes. Try not to get it in your eyes of course, do this three times a day.

Omg this happens to me too! Its actually sorta going on right now, soo annoying -.- lol, but what I found us that it always happens when I use certain makeup, or just rub that spot a lot when I'm blending my eyeshadow, fixing little things with qtips, stuff like that so I think its just from irritation, what helps me is when I don't touch them, if they itch I dab a bit of cold water on them or sometimes really lightly tap your skin if that makes sense lol. After a day or two it should go away, also try not to use makeup on that area, if you need need to use makeup I'd say do mascara without curling your lashes (that irritates mine), but if you can definitely don't wear any :p when washing off makeup make sure not to rub that spot, and I find its best to just leave it in general, also it helps if you use a gentle moisturizer after you wash your face, because I find mine sometimes get dry :p.

Go to an eye doctor, this happened to me and I dealt with it for about a year, I went to a doctor and I had to get a eye cleansing solution and throw out all of my eye liners and mascaras, and the blindness that I had turned out that I needed glasses. so I think the best thing for you is to go to an eye doctor.

Thanks guys :) I'll definitely do what you girls suggested and if it persists or worsens I'll see an eye doctor! Unforthnately makeup is mandatory for work but I'll try and keep the time it's only my eyes to a minimum
