Try cocunut oil. Warm it up for 15 seconds and put it on your hair for 10 minutes. Then wash it out with shampoo and conditioner.

If your hair is dry I wouldn't suggest dying your hair hun. It will be damaged. Buy a good non sulfate shampoo thats for moisture and a deep conditioner. I use Carol's daughter & I swear by her products.

Do an oil treatment too. Coconut oil or Olive oil.

I don't understand why you would want to color your hair as a response to being scared and confused, hon. Instead, treat it with coconut oil first.

Hi Plavita!
Yes, Ammonia is very bad for hair. Recently I used Garnier Olia hair dye to color my hair black and all dyes from Garnier's Olia range are completely ammonia free. I found the dye to be a very good purchase too, as it is easy to apply, and the color does not wash out as fast as it says it will on the box. I vaguely remember that it said the dye will be gone after about 27 washes, but the dye actually didn't come out for months. The hair dyes from this range contain natural extracts that are very good for hair and it gives hair a nice shine too. The box also contains all the tools and instructions you need to be able to apply it.
I would highly recommend this to you :)
