So lately I've noticed that my makeup is really blotchy even right after applying it, especially my bronzer. I've tried applying it in different ways, using different brushes, applying primer and setting powder (which I normally do), everything. I've been trying different masks for my skin, exfoliating, etc. I don't know what else to do! Any suggestions?? Thank you in advance!!

Do you let everything set before layering on other products?

Maybe you need to try a different moisturizer?

No I haven't don't that, I didn't even think about that... I feel so dumb now, my foundation and concealer are mousse and liquid. Thank you for telling me!

And @Gisell I don't normally put moisturizer on in the morning.. I should probably start doing that. Thank you! :)

Also make sure all your products are compatible. If you're using silicone based products with water based products they won't blend well together and essentially try to push away from each other.

Yeah, you should everything fully set in because if not it can become really cakey and blotchy, real fast. No problem. Hope that solves your problem.

Definitely add a moisturizer to your skin care routine especially after exfoliating :)

Maybe it's time to replace some of your makeup products? Are they old, by chance?

@Alexis I just checked and none are water based so I think I'm good there, thank you though!
@Gisell I do lol I just normally do it at night, in the morning if I wash my face with something too rough my face becomes red and puffy for the rest of the day. I have yet to find a gentle daily face wash that doesn't break me out. Any recommendations? I have sensitive/combo skin :)
@Melanie the only thing I can think of would be my mascara, everything else I just got for Christmas, including brushes. But I'll check just in case!! thank you!

I would recommend the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser for you :) it won't mess with your skin, its so gentle.

My foundation used to be really blotchy but now that I use a sponge instead of a brush I found the finish more natural looking and even. Maybe that'd help :)

Thank you @Katherine!! I was always told brushes were better so I never really gave sponges a chance lol I'll go and try them!! Any good sponges you recommend? :)
