DO NOT USE VASELINE AROUND YOUR EYES.
Vaseline is a sealant and can clog your pores and your tear ducts, causing infections.
The only proven thing to grow lashes is Latisse, which is only available by prescription

Nothing can make your hair grow, whether it's lash hair or hair on your head, all you can do it care for it. Vaseline can cause bad infections if you get it in your eye. No, it doesn't work.

Vaseline won't grow your lashes, only make them "moister," which would be helpful if you have dry lashes right now.Vaseline is a good brand so stick to that if you try petroleum jelly. Other petroleum jellies probably do not remove as many of the "bad things" as Vaseline does. I have used it to remove waterproof eye makeup with no problems ever. In fact, many women dab Vaseline on the eye area as a wrinkle preventative measure as it locks in moisture and hydration. Also, I read that Marilyn Monroe regarded Vaseline as her 'secret weapon' and used it as a facial moisturizer, so there's that...
