How much does it cost?

How much does it usually cost to get your hair done professionally these days? I know it depends on the area, the place you go, the colors you want and the length of your hair. My hair is down to the middle of my back, pretty thick, and I'll attach a picture of what I want. I know there's some hair professionals on here, or people who frequently get their hair done, so I figured I could get an idea of what it'd cost, if it's too much, I'll do it myself like always. My friend told me around $100, but I wanted more opinions. Thanks!

Most places around here (Ohio) will charge anywhere from $100-175. It just depends on how the salon charges. Like whether they'll charge for toning separately or not.

If you were to go to an ulta or a nicer end salon you could easily (very very easily) spend over $150
I usually scope out some places before I go anywhere specific. I've found that independent salons are cheaper and most the time do better than the "high end"
Hope that helps a little bit.

My best friend Kayla went to a place called Capelli salon, it's an independent salon, she said it cost her $100 even. She did similar to the picture, only darker brown.

Oops I accidentally pressed post. Its about 80 for a normal color and 100 for what you want:) So the numbers above are pretty exact:)

In canada it would be closer to 200$. They'd have to strip the red out of your hair to get the medium brown on top, then bleach and tone the bottom portion, then cut and style if that's what you want as well (plus a tip 10-20%)

I don't usually leave tips, I know that sounds bad lol. & the red is already out of my hair.. it's a weird blondish orange now.

If that's too pricey, you could always go to a university salon! Really cheap, and the students are always supervised!

You're right Zoey! I totally forgot about that!

Really? I stay in conroe lol are you near me?

I've been there a handful of times! I live in college station, it's about an hour and 15 minutes north of Houston. I think Conroe is actually closer than Houston is, maybe just 45 minutes!

My mom is a hair stylist. She usually charges $40 for a cut and then I think $80-100 for cut and color.

It all just depends on what service you have done. I have never done my own hair in my life I always had it done at the salon. I get a wash, condition treatment, blowdry, and flat ironed for only $45. And it also depends on the salon as well.

I think your friends hair turned out beautifully so if it cost her 100$ and you can afford that I would suggest going there, if it's not possible I'd look at places in your range and look at their work and go from there. I would personally wait a lil longer and save up instead of going somewhere cheap or a beauty school. I know they are supervised but I just graduated and while I was in school which was one of the best in my state I still saw people walking out looking like a mess so it's just a gamble! I think $100 and 120$ including tip is completely reasonable for what you want you should be able to find someone good.
