My friend is thinking about dying her hair blue. not bright or light blue but a deep navy blue. Her hair right now is dark brown so she was wondering if there is a way to dye it to make it look like here brown hair is just tinted blue. Also what dyes and ways to dye it would cause the least amount of damage and not bleed off on everything. Also can she do it with our super bleaching her hair.

It might only be a tint because her hair is so dark but I recommend looking into Manic panic.

Oh I absolutely love blue hair! Well if she just took some semi permanent dark blue dye and put it over her hair as is, it would look almost black, but with blue highlights in the light. To get it more vivid, you will have to bleach it, there's no way of getting around it. Obviously everyone's hair is different, but doing a 20 volume bleach should get it lighter without too much damage to where you can see the blue. Watching a ton of youtube videos will help, different people have different strategies/ products they like. Good luck! Blue is such a fun color to have 😊

Thank you Kaitlin!! She did want to get around bleaching it as much as she could because she had an ombre before and resently just cut it off because if how damaged it all was so now its just her natural hair so she didnt want to completely ruin it again. lol. But we'll definitely check out you tube and what volume of bleach and everything will be the best. :)
