Hey guys! I'm having sort of a hair dilemma. Currently my hair is a dark brown with a reddish tint but I'm getting my hair done on Monday and I'm not surd to keep it the same or do it different. I used to have really bright red head and I miss it! Upkeep suckedddd but it was so pretty.

I'll post pics below, tell me which I should do!

Genevieve- I feel the same way! I'm so conflicted tho because I love the red but I feel the dark brown looks better with my pale skin.

I honestly don't mind the upkeep at all...I'm very confused on people who say that. Mine doesn't fade and the only thing I do is touch up my roots once every 5 months...
However I think you'd look stunning with a deep purple if that's something you've ever considered :)

Genevieve do mind sharing a pic of your purple hair?? I'm intrigued haha! Now you and Leslie have me considering that too.
Leslie- Your hair must really like color, I'm jealous. I feel like my hair despises color b/c it fades so quickly. The struggle XD

I posted this not long ago, foe my upkeep I use this amazing product! replace my conditioner and it recolor my hair every time so it's not that hard to maintain!

I might just have to look into that if I decide to go red again.

With that I was able to dye my hair every 6 weeks and still have a very pretty red all the time.

You should look up some pictures of dark purple! Looks good on pale skin without washing you out.
And yes I remember the first time I did it I came out I f the shower one day and just started bawling because it faded so fast. But then every time after that it just lasted longer and longer and I've had to stop taking as much precautions as I used to about preserving the color and payed more attention to keeping it healthy.

I think you should do like a burgundy.

You touch up your roots every FIVE months Leslie?? Lol damnnnn I wish that was the case when I had red hair, my roots would show up every freaking week and I hated that look where the roots were showing lol... I'd be resting roots every week and a half because my hair grows fast so roots would come in like nothing. Otherwise the rest of my hair didn't fade much at all.

I actually really liked the red Marissa. You look pretty! It brightens up your complexion imo

My roots start coming out like three days later lol! I will do my roots and within a few days can see the lil brown roots popping up again. I can't go.more than Six weeks. but my lengths fade really quickly because of all the bleaching I had to do before but now the roots just stay red. but I agree the red looks so pretty. go red:-) I don't do anything special. I still wash my hair every other day. I just use special effects every cpl of weeks to redo my color and the roots every month.

Everyone's hair is different, especially with red. Sometimes it can be a part time job to keep it looking fresh. People always ask me how I keep it so red and when I tell them "Cold water and once a week wash" they're like "Forget it!" Haha. To some people it can seem like a lot of upkeep, like anything else it all depends on how you care for it and what you use.

I also have to agree with a dark purple or burgundy with your skin, less wash out. ☺️

And I like my darkish roots with my red thankfully that's no an issue, lol. Otherwise it probably would be more of a pain.
