Oh and my favorite hair mask I've tried out for right after coloring hair is the Ion color defense after color sealer. About a week after coloring I start alternating that with the Ion color defense intense moisture. I buy both of these from Sally Beauty amd they aren't very expensive at all. You can buy either in the small foil packets for a buck or two. I love them so much I bought the larger bottles and I think they were around 12 dollars or so.
Another great natural hair mask I like to do is coconut oil. Any of these hair treatments make my hair really managable, soft and shiny.

I think it would look great! for masks I recommend loreal oleo therapy & it's a 10 plus keratin. I hear great things about the macadamia (?) mask too. for diy some great ingredients are; honey, avocado, banana, aloe vera, mayo, olive oil, castor oil, coconut oil, & egg. :) post a picture when you get it done!
