Do you ever feel like you look plain?

Hey ladies,
So I notice my MOTD looks similar most days... I do want to stay natural but sometimes it just makes me feel so plain! Here is my makeup today... Do you have any advice you can give me without being too out there?

I feel this way all the time! I think something really important to remember is that you look at yourself every day, the exact same fact. Every. Day. You definitely don't look plain to me, but it's really easy to get used to our own features and makeup and find it boring. Whenever I feel plain I'll change the intensity of my makeup, or the colour on either my eyes or lips! Always gives me a good refresher. If I feel REALLY boring I'll change my hair, but don't get into that habit ;)

I felt like that. But then I just cut off all if my hair and BAM! I stood out haha! But as for a less... Permanent decision, I would go for a bold lip every so now and then. Even though you will be out there. You could always go for like what Ramsha said. I think that will look lovely as well.

Ramsha-The colored liner is actually a really good idea. I don't own any... thats probably why lol! I should start investing in some. Thank you for that!

Brittany- you are so right... I never thought about that now I feel a little silly haha! Funny you mention the hair, I was planning to dye my hair a little lighter today (in addition to my roots)... Yikes!

Thank you Kim, I will definitely do the colored liner and give that a try! I also thought about maybe it's the eyelashes. I've never tried any falsies before though!

Shanae- Lol! That is true, but sometimes I want to look more vibrant, but I have nowhere to go!

Robyn- Thank you! I am actually trying to wear more bold lips! I guess I have to use up all those too faced melted I bought lol...>.<

Isabel! I just cut off 6 inches of my hair last month! Haha!
Oh before this thread dies... Can anyone recommend me a great colored eyeliner that does not smudge or disappear throughout the day? I was looking at urban decay's but don't know how well the colored ones perform because I have the normal black velvet and it doesn't last as I would like it to.

I do not really know how much 6 inches are 😁. But I cut off 40cm. I think that 40cm is about 6 inches. Correct me if I'm wrong hahaha

@Isabel, 6 inches is roughly 15cm (give or take a bit) if that helps. You cut off well over a foot (12 inches) when you got your hair cut! That's loads, it must have been quite a dramatic change! Good on you for going for it!

Anyway, in regards to switching up your look I find that lipstick is the easiest way. Try out a bright lip or a dark lip they both look amazing with fairly minimal eye makeup if you fancied something different.
