OMG! I'm soo glad that I'm not the only one who coconut oil doesn't work for! It dries my hair out soooo bad all the time 😔 anyway, my hair is super dry, and any diy mask hasn't helped lately, but one that did work in the summer was:: half an avocado, 1 egg, 1/4-1/2 cup olive oil; blend that up to mayo consistency and slather in damp towel dried hair; Wrap up in plastic and let sit for a couple hours then rinse; if you don't want to sit for awhile, use your hair drier on low heat setting for about 10 minutes; rinse out thouroughly
