The benefits of contouring are outstanding, but I feel like every time I do it, I end up looking dirty and orange. I have a fair, pink/blue complexion, so orange doesn't mix well-- do you guys have any palette recommendations?

I LOVE using NYX's powder blush in taupe. It's like $6.50 and its perfection. It's a cool toned brown color and it's so easy to blend

Remember you want a cool toned contour shade to mimic a shadow (:
I would go with the KVD shade & light palette as I've heard the anastasia kit is too orange.

The first step is to truly understand what a contour and sculpting color setting is, because in the end it's not difficult. Know with all those palette's being sold you know there is only ONE true color to use in that mix of a so called party contour lol the rest are extras to help build up Contoured shape.Sculpting powder is what you have in mind and the rest are the helping sister's to help enhance more define structure ONLY if needed they pretty much are the back burners basically paying for other colors you most likely will rarely use. There really isn't 3 to four colors to a sculpt powder and the only time you ever need another color is if your skin tone is deeper if that. You don't need a kit you need a single color ( sculpt) but if you want extras which everyone is paying for because so many brands are claiming you need them all, feel free to grab a palette. Truth be told Kevyn Aucoin will save you the trouble it's a raw true sculpt powder on it's own.As for the other palettes the thought of combo colors all around is a good thought but the truth is they need to make that clear so a every day girl could have a better understanding on what they're really buying because most are guessing and comparing other product's out of guess instead of having the actual true product to even compare to other's. Just a bit of info to think about :)

Thanks so much everybody, so sorry about the late response!
To all the girls that recommended Taupe, thanks! I'll give it a try! For the Kat Von D, I will consider it, although it's a little over my budget. Ramsha, right now, I'm using It Cosmetics' My Sculpted Face palette. Kenna, thank you for the recommendations, I'll look into both. Les, totally, cool toned is always what I look out for;) Thanks for your input! I heard that, too. Alma, thanks so much, that helped me a lot! Very good to know, will save me a lot of time & $!! After having read all these, I'm considering contouring with NYX's Taupe. Do you guys who recommended it know any good highlighters to accompany it? You're all so helpful, thank you thank you thank youuuu

I would like to actually see a swatch of Nyx taupe next to the Kevyn sculpting powder. I have yet to see that done but everyone recommends it.
