I would use a very creamy concealer over it, just apply lightly around your mouth. That's what I do if I ever get a cold sore that scabs up!

I actually have one right now and I don't know if I would put anything over it because it might bring out the dry patches over it haha. It's best just to let it heal. Maybe the aquifor healing ointment? That usually helps me. But covering it, is so tempting!

Yes it is very tempting to cover but I will try the healing ointment!

Covering it is going to be problematic. You can cover pigmentation but not texture, so that will still be visible. Secondly, that location is always moving and will be difficult to keep any makeup on. Lastly, if the skin is broken you really shouldn't wear any makeup on it as you can introduce an infection.
I bet that nobody else notices it. I get cold sores on my chin every few months (always have) and most people don't even look at them or care. We are our own harshest critics. I suggest finding a nice balm and maybe using an ointment (Neosporin or similar) until it heals.

Thank you so much emily :) right now I will leave it alone until it fully heals because then it will fade :) thanks again I actually agree with you 100%
