I agree. A toner is a must for me. My favorite purple shampoo is Pravana Light. I apply the shampoo to dry hair and leave on for a few minutes sometimes.

I've been using purple shampoo for six months and it does nothing but bring out a brighter blonde. it doesn't tone out the brassyness from then brown.
