Now I have more than waist length thicker tresses and now aiming for passing hip length--aah I'm crazy about long hair!
My hair didn't just grow longer it's also more thicker and healthier than ever.
I only made a few changes to my routine and this is what I did.
> No bleaching whatsoever, that's the worst thing you can do to your hair, I have bleached only once and it took the life out of my hair.
>No heat treatments unless absolutely necessary.
> Switching into herbal Shampoos, conditioners and serums.
> Warm coconut oil massage once weekly stimulates hair growth.
> Try natural hair masks; I used henna mask which is a great conditioner. But it can't be used on lighter hair since it stains and imparts orange to red hues, I only end up with reddish tint which is actually pretty.
> Get rid of dandruff which is the root cause for hairfall, I was prescribed ketoconazole Shampoo by my Doctor.
> Don't use Shampoos used for horses:S.
> Don't self prescribe biotin or vitamin supplements, please consult a doctor.
> Drink lots of water and get enough sleep
> Avoid stress (that's hard)

Man I'm jealous, you're so lucky, wouldn't matter what I did to my hair it would never look like that. Beautiful.

Give it a try, it worked for my short frizzy, sun damaged hair then it will surely work for you as well:)

@Kathy: The important thing is to find products that are devoid of SLS and parabens; nowadays almost everything contains these chemicals.
Here's what I use:
> Avalon Organics Shampoo and conditioner
> Matrix Biolage hair serum
> Matrix Biolage hydrating masque
Home remedies like:
>henna hair mask or soaking hair in lukewarm black organic coffee (both stains lighter hair!)

Sree I'm curios - what does the coffee do to the hair?

Hair goals!! lol

@Sabrina: Coffee softens and adds shine to hair and when used along with henna it helps to impart dark brown hues to my hair. Organic coffee is preferred over normal one.
@Talei: Thank you:):*

Looks nice :) but I have to correct you on one thing, bleaching really isn't bad if done correctly. I've bleached my hair numerous times and it's in healthier condition than a lot of people's virgin hair. You just have to do it properly and know how to handle it afterwards, most people's hair get dry, so do an extra mask for a couple weeks, and it'll be just as healthy as it was before bleaching as long as it was done correctly.

@Sabrina: yeah you're right! I will try body scrub next:)

@Alyx: maybe you're right. For me my hair turned dry and got a lot of split ends so I literally freaked out:D. And I didn't know how to handle bleached hair so I waited for it grow out and cut the entire portion, and that was a nightmare:S.

Oh wow! Great results. I would give anything for my hair to look like that! What types of shampoos and conditioners do you recommend?? I use coconut oil once a week, but I am so torn on shampoos and conditioners to use. Thanks!

Yeah if your hair is already light then sure bleaching won't hurt too much - but for us dark hair girls (or black hair naturally) it really damages our hair - when it's done properly it won't - but even experts can't get it right most of the time - I've had my hair bleached multiple times and only 1 time was it not damaged out of all the times I've gone to the salon to get it done - but it seems like all you did was take good care of your hair and now it looks great sree - I've always taken good care of mine and it's always been long n healthy - but genetics also plays a big role in hair growth n health too - some people just can't grow long healthy hair no matter how much they try - but some of us just have to take good care of it and our bodies and it looks beautiful so what you did may not work for everyone but it's good practice to take good care of your hair :)
