Hey! I actually have heard of it and I was amazed too. I think I saw a billboard last year that simply said "Freeze the fat" and nothing else, but a website (www.freezefatinflorida.com) and I looked into it. In my opinion, it seems ideal since I have a very small muffin. Nothing too extreme to warrant an actual surgery, but still something I constantly notice.
I think Florida and California might be the most progressive with it, since it seems like most surgeons offer it in these areas. I looked at RealSelf in Miami (http://www.realself.com/CoolSculpting/cost/Florida/Miami) and it's tricky to estimate. Some places are much higher in cost and others are lower. Maybe it has to do with how many sessions you need? I would call the practice you are looking into to confirm, so you're not left feeling under-delivered.
From what I have seen in the pictures, I am going to do it too when I have a little more saved for something like this.
Let me know if I can help you with other resources. I'd ask some of the ladies at RS in your area for their personal accounts. Good luck!

I have actually had it on my lower abdomen. I can see a difference, but it's very subtle. I'm really not sure I would recommend it due to that. I paid $750 for one session with the smaller device. That price of 1700 seems pretty high! I posted before and after pics on realself. Love that site!! I also got the nerve pain issue after. That was really bad and I needed to get a prescription for Neurontin from the medspa. The actual procedure itself wasn't bad though. I'll try to post my before and after pics if I can find them. You'll see what I mean with the results being subtle.

Yea Maggie I just need a bit off from.my lower abdomen since I can't seem to tone that area...how soon do you see results? I read you won't see it till after like 3_4weeks... if its.under a grand ill definitely get it done.

Miami is FL's capital of overpriced procedures. I would travel a lil more north (Orlando) for the procedure. I believe a doc in Winter Park offers it. Or Tampa. The results can be maintained if one is eating healthy and exercising or else you are just blowing your money down the drain but if you do gain a large amount after having it done then the weight will be even distributed to the remaining fat cells within the body. There is a downside..the procedure can leave a visible transition line from where the fat was frozen and where it was not. If I remember correctly from the plastic surgeon journal I read it called it a step off deformity. Another procedure to look into is Zerona. That uses light energy to shrink fat cells. The results are immediate versus CoolSculpting and the contour is more natural. Plus there is no downtime involved and its been around since 2009.

I definitely agree with shopping around for a price like Shelley said and getting a few consults. Over the phone, they were telling me that it would take a large device to do the abdomen (I think it was substantially more expensive) and you had to do your upper abdomen as well or it would be uneven. Well the large applicator was wider than my hips even. It clearly would not have worked. I also was insistent that I would NOT do my upper abs as it was not a problem area so I wasn't spending money to do something there. You may be able to get it down to 750 if you do the same. I'm in Boston and the cost for the small applicator was basically the same every where. And if prob takes at least 3-4 weeks for results if I remember. You feel kinda bloated at first too and definitely not thinner right away.
