A clarifying shampoo used once or twice a wk will help get rid of product build up.

Neutrogena has a shampoo to get ris if build up. A good DIY detoxifying shampoo is just mixing baking soda and water and rubbing that onto your hair and then letting that set. Then shampoo and condition like normal.

My mom has used dish soap for years to clarify her hair and she swears by it! just don't use it all the time.
