I started out with mascara and eyeliner.

I would start with a bb/cc cream mascara, liner & any type of lip products you want
then move your way up 😊

Mascara (Maybelline or Loreal)
Bb cream (Garnier)
Cc Cream (work really good if you're an oily skin type)
Lips (All Nyx lippies, Rimmel pencils or Wet n Wild) (:

When I started wearing makeup, this is all I wore:
>powder
>mascara
>lipgloss
>eyeshadow [legit only one shade all over lid]
>occasional blush

though, if you do have more troubled skin, you may want to invest in a cc or bb cream ☺️

Mascara, concealer, and lip balm are easiest to start with. Stuff like eyeliner will require a little more practice.

Forgot to mention eyeliner was the first thing I started wearing before anything else.
it really depends on what you like.

I think BB and CC creams kinda suck, why not just use a foundation? Do whatever makeup you want it really depends what you feel comfortable with. You should buy a lot of different produ ts to try out and then just find what you're comfortable with using and stuff.

Buy:
- foundation
- concealer
- powder
- eyeshadow
- eyeliner
- mascara
- lipstick
- blush
- bronzer
- brushes

Brushes are important, you don't want to be that girl who has super patchy makeup and just keeps rubbing her eyes constantly with a chalky eyeshadow with her fingers.

Nude shadow (I started with creme eyeshadow so I didn't need a brush)
Powder (saves lives)
Bb cream
Mascara (I started off with brown but black is always a go to)
Lip gloss/stick or Chapstick (Burt's bees has tinted Chapstick that I LOVE)

Ariana— The reason why many people prefer BB creams over foundation is because BB cremes have a lighter formulation. Also, it's just a usual moisturiser which gives you a very slight big of coverage. Not everybody wants a lot of coverage. Also, some people just have really really sensitive skin and foundation tends to be thick and stuff. It's everybody's personal preference. Some people like foundations and some don't :)

I agree with maybelle, if you want to look more natural looking that is what a bb/cc cream are for.
I prefer the garnier bb cream, has great coverage.

If you're just starting out before you can dive into foundation or even a bb cream for that matter I would go to a Bobbi Brown and MAC counter to get color matched. It will help in narrowing down what undertone family you are in you can adequately pick out the correct face products without wasting a ton of money on your own. As a WOC its especially important because its no fun dropping $30 on a foundation that looks great in-store and then you go out looking like Casper the Ghost or a Halloween pumpkin.

In the meantime...mascara, lipstick/lipgloss are great items to start with if its your first time adventuring into makeup. Some affordable drugstore brands to check out...Maybelline and WetnWild. When it comes to higher end...MAC, Bobbi Brown, Urban Decay...all carry "safe" neutral shades along with the usual suspects (brights and darks).

Mascara, eye liner (I finf liqued the easiest but most people find it the hardest) and a lip color of your choice.

I suggest if you want to spend as little of the products that are cheap but they are excellent..I am italian though so I do not know if there are the same brands where you live..anyway bb cream garnier for dry skin or bb cream so bio etic for oily or combination skin, translucent powder debby, concelear for dark circles anti aging maybelline, mascara essence is wow, blush kiko, and a tint lips matt no trasfer sephora.

If you're literally just starting out with makeup, I actually don't recommend mascara! I'd get used to eyeliner first, then try mascara, because it is a lot harder to apply mascara than pencil eyeliner and mascara hurts a LOT more if you stab yourself in the eye. So yeah, I'd say pencil eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipstick/gloss, then build your skill and collection from there if you like it 😀
