I was shocked the other evening after washing my face how much makeup was still left after I rubbed a washcloth over my face. I have been wary of using a toner on my 40+ skin that tends to be on the dry side but I don't think not fully cleaning my skin is great either! What is gentle but effective?

I really like the thayer's brand of toners. I use the rose water one, and it effectively removes leftover makeup, moisturizes, and brightens my skin. Its also very affordable at around $7 a bottle.
