I would also recommend real techniques however I have recently found brushes on eBay £3 each which are a dupe of real techniques and they are honestly better than the original!

I love the real techniques sponge, it's the only thing I've ever used from the brand but it's very nice when I don't want to carry around my lovely 53 brush from sephora collection!

The black handled elf brushes are very soft, but stay veeeeery far from their white handled face brushes. Rough and terrible pick up. Yuck! Their white handled eye brushes are pretty okay, for beginners:)

I have brushes from Mac, Sonia Kashuk, Elf and Coastal Scents. I like them all, but the Mac brushes are my favorite!
