I bleached my hair recently and its orange. I knew that it would become orange after bleaching so no shock there, but I want to tone it so I can dye it blue. I don't know exactly how to tone hair or what to look for, so I'm looking for a little help. I don't need my hair to be completely white, just enought that when I dye it blue, it doesn't come out green. Please help? :)

Well you can get a purple shampoo or you can just buy a toner.

I've had my hair blue many times, it's never turned into a green even though once in a while when I bleached it would turn orange. just it really depends on the brand of the dyes!

Well blue cancels out orange, so I don't see how it could possibly turn green. Buy a blue-based toner, and you'll be fine.

If you're dying it blue, just pick a purple based blue rather than a green based blue. You have to pick one, it'll fade to that color anyway. You can't avoid a green based blue from turning Turquoise as it fades. Manic panic ultra violet is a purple based blue.

Not necessarily true, Hailey. There are different toners for different results and colors. A toner is going to make it so that her hair is one even color all over, rather than just putting dye in it and have it come out patchy.

A pure violet toner.

I mean a violet color! Because you need something to make it even and toners will react differently if you have several shades of orange in your hair. Like if some parts lifted more than others.
