If your worried about having good skin for your date I would invest in a good concealer/foundation/powder for coverage as a short term solution. Hopefully someone who knows more about skin care will comment and help with a routine for long term results. Good luck :)

I've heard good things about Estée Lauder double wear foundation for covering acne prone skin without irritating it/ breaking it out. I have not used it personally though. For drugstore I've heard revlon colorstay for combo skin is very full coverage. Again I haven't used it personally though.

What is your skincare routine right now?

I agree with everything Jacqlyn said. And also RESIST THE URGE TO PICK AT YOUR SKIN. I have been struggling with acne for a while and my biggest issue was touching my face all the time and popping.

Landrey S. Everyday I use the mask glamglow and I powder my face with mineral powder in the night I use clearasil and sometimes toothpaste.

I'd suggest changing your makeup routine to Cover FX or Dermablend. Dermablend in particular is used on very troubled skin, to people with scars or burns. The coverage is out of this world and it's safe for the skin. If you go to Ulta, ask about Dermablend. Or I'm sure there are tutorials about applying their products on their website and probably on YouTube as well. As for your skincare, I would suggest finding a professionally recommended routine or maybe seeing a dermatologist if it is a persistent issue. I suffer from occasional cystic acne and it sucks. Bleh.

Use skin care products from your local beauty store. Then if you want to cover up use a strong cover up but not orange foundation and then just put normal make up over the top.
