I've never really been into eyeliner but I'm beginning to like it. I have pencil eyeliner to try before I get all the other stuff. Are there any tips you'd like to share? Thanks:)

You could heat the lead so that the liner is smooth on your skin...like put it on a flame for like 5 seconds and then put it on...it helps me a lot!!

That can burn you. Instead hold it up to an incandescent light bulb. The heat from the bulb will soften it enough to glide, but it shouldn't burn you. Also if you keep the pencil sharp and to a point, if you pull your lid up so you can see your upper water line and the base of your lashes, put the point Inbetween each lash. That's tight lining and it'll give you a nice solid black base for your lashes.

When I started out with a pencil, I kept the tip pretty blunt and lined my top lash line and a bit under the outside of my bottom! then I smudged it out with my finger:) definitely makes your eye more dramatic, but it's it's a softer look! :)

it's called the loreal infallible silky pencil liner.
I love it sooo much! It is the only pencil I will use because it is never rough.
you can find it at any drugstore it's $7.99 I believe.
also when you apply it never tug your skin that causes premature wrinkles

Yeah girl that pencil is amazing ^ I also like the Milani Liquid Like Liquid eye pencil, very creamy and long lasting. I personally just line without tugging at the skin, the put the pencil up to my waterline and line. Sometimes close my eyes to get both the top and bottom lol! Wouldn't recommend that if you're a beginner though. It becomes easier with time

Always look for kohl liner.

I agree with Shanae. Starting out, kohl is easiest because it's soft and always makes a smooth line, it doesn't irritate in the water line and it can be smoked out by dragging a pencil brush or even a q-tip over it. I really like the Rimmel scandalize kohl pencils which are waterproof.

It gives you better control if you're a beginner compared to doing one giant line haha.

The Rimmel kohl pencils are really creamy and don't skip. Also like the NYX pencils. The brown is so pretty. I actually find it easier if my pencil is really sharp. Everyone has their personal preference. You can make little dashes and then go back in and connect the dots. One "trick" I do not recommend is pulling your eye to draw a straight line. It will distort your liner. I find it easiest to look straight on at the mirror. You can use a pointed Q-tip dipped in makeup remover to fix mistakes. Or if my liner looks a little sloppy, I take a very fine angle brush and spray a little water on it and go over the pencil to smooth it out. The kohl pencils are creamy so they don't dry right away so you have time to play with it.
