Ok so I've totally had enough of my bad skin. It's currently acne prone and combination; oily though t-zone and can be dry/ regular elsewhere. I'm starting to wonder if it's actually the moisturiser I am using but I don't know what to try next?!?!
Can anyone recommend a moisturiser or treatment for my terrible skin please? I'm in the uk.
Any help appreciated 😥

I use "Hope in a Jar" from Philosophy. It is quite pricy but it works wonders. I typically have a super oily face but in winter months I get dry, flaky patches scattered in the oiliness. It looks very oily and it has a very weird texture and smell (the smell fades after a couple of minutes) but it's something I can rely on all year. Very smooth and gentle, moisturizes the oily areas without making them oiler and moisturizes the dry areas perfectly :)

I would suggest wearing any sort of oil free moisturizer during the day and using a replenshing heavier moisturizer at night!

Cetaphil at night, and Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel in the day :) I'm also oily acne prone and these have worked great to control my oils.

I use the Elemis pro-collagen marine cream at the moment I just don't think it's helping. Ms. L how do you find the clinique- I've tried the 3-step before and it didn't agree with me?
Also anyone recommend a vitamin c serum? I heard they are really good with closing pores and refining skin?

When my acne was really bad I tried incorporating facial oil into my skincare routine and that made a world of a difference. I have combo skin with an oily t-zone so I was worried about incorporating the facial oil but it was the best decision ever. It helped to further MOISTURIZE my skin, which I learned is a major factor in my breakouts. The more hydrated my skin stays, the better. I also switched to products suitable for sensitive skin

Well I actually only used the moisturizing gel and it's pretty good in moisturizing the skin without being too thick and greasy. And for a vitamin c serum I use the Mario Badescu. :)

I have been using elemis pro collagen marine cream. It is really hydrating - but I've dried my skin out using a 10% ointment cream out of pure frustration on some acne around my chin. SO my skin is a little sore too.
Ms. l do you use anything else from mario badescu range that you would recommened! We get it only in harvey Nichols here...
You have all been sooo lovely thank you.

Mallory when you the a facial oil...is this to cleanse or like using a serum? I'm using the vitamin c serum only at night and I need to purchase the 2% paulas choice to go with it.

After I wash my face, I let it air dry and then I apply the PC exfoliant to my face and if I have time, I just sorta let that sit for a few minutes before I apply anything else. After that I apply my oil and the rest of my skincare routine. Right now I'm using a Tea Tree oil blend and Jojoba oil together.

The tea tree oil blend helps to fight breakouts and moisturize while the the jojoba oil is more of a balancing agent.

I think I would be too nervous to put any oil on my face at this point. I'm going to have to look into a good moisturiser for day/ night and hope that it improves. Thank you everyone ☺️😘😘😘

I also use the PC Super Antioxidant Concentrate (with Retinol) Serum and the 2% BHA Dark Spot Eraser. I just started trying the serum so I can't give my opinion on it just yet. I love the dark spot eraser though.

Once I was able to get my acne under control, I started to focus on the dark scars which have greatly improved with these products.
