I didn't know what category to put this in, but basically I want to save for makeup since I will be going on a trip in March and I don't have a "real" job. Currently I babysit for money, but that only gets me one or two things at sephora. So, I want to save for March but I need tips on saving and how do I stop spending? How do I make enough money for sephora (if you're a shopaholic you know). Thanks so much!

Make a list of things that you really want, and if you want it bad enough, you'll save for it. That's what I do!

There's lots of great advice online for learning to save money. And there's loads of apps and things as well. The best advice I can give, and this works no matter what your income, and especially works if you earn cash, which I assume you do is: when you get paid for babysitting, get birthday money, any income at all really, pay yourself, say 80% of what you earn. You take this money and put it in a jar or a tin and give it to your mom and dad or someone you trust not to steal it. They are your bank and they are not to give it to you until you've saved X amount of dollars. You'll be amazed at how quickly the money will pile up. The rest of the money that doesn't go into the jar, well you can spend it on whatever you are spending all your money on nowadays.

I would say save 200-500 dollars to splurge at sephora, I personally love the naked palettes, Mac prolong wear and first aid beauty skin products. I love Mac lip glasses and I love NYX lip and eye pencils. especially the jumbo eye pencils. depending on what you want, it's always nice to save. and if you, like me are a teen then I would suggest finding a part time job you can walk or bike to. in a close enough distance. It really just depends on what you like doing. maybe sell some stuff on Craigslist or kijiji I don't know what you do but I babysit for cash. maybe see if any family friends need babysitting on date nights. or go in opinions outpost (basically free money just saying)
