After much frustration I think I've basically given up on a finding a contour powder that doesn't look like an orange, muddy mess on me.
I went to Sephora today and swatched a bunchhhh of contour palettes/powders. Smashbox, KVD, Anastasia, the new Marc Jacobs duos. No dice. They all looked terrible on my skin.
Any pale girl success stories with finding a good powder?

I heard Kevin Aucoin's contour powder is supposed to be really good, and I think it's actually sold here on beautylish.

I use Body Shop's baked-to-last bronzer in the shade 02 (warm glow) it's not too dark so it works really well on pale skin and I love it

It's weird in the pic it still looks really warm but in real life it's quite cool toned and not super intense which is perfect I bought it at shoppers and I am from Ontario Canada. I would suggest trying out a few matte eyeshadows you may be able to find something that works for you! Good luck!!

I just use a foundation 2 shades darker than my skin tone. I'm as pale as they come and this is the ONLY way I can contour without it looking like I've contoured (if that makes sense?) I use maybelline fit me pressed powder, but really any powder will do.

Christine I'm really curious to know the name of that eyeshadow duo! I been looking for a matte eyeshadow I could use on my fair skin! On the picture the colors look pink/plum is that the correct color?

Oooooohhhh... hopefully this works for you. I used it on a pale model before and it came out very well.. Maybelline loose powder bronzer. use it very modestly to give you a light lift in your cheeks and bleend the cap out of it. I followed it with a very pale pink blush same loose powder.
