I cannot for the love of ANYTHING, do my liner on my lid. I'm getting so aggravated. What is like the simplest most easiest way possible to do the liner?! I want to start doing winged liner but it's just not in my favor. Helpppppp meeeee!

What kind of problems are you running into? Like it being too thick/uneven/smudging?

Shanae J.
I can't ever get it straight, it smudges, then I get mad and throw it lol.

I've tried the tape thing, I've tried resting my hand, being patient, and blinking when I need to but it just doesn't work.

I taught myself by creating small dashes along my lash line and connecting them. It's more time consuming, but it's easier to fix if you mess up. Some girls can do perfect liner in no time, while I'm standing in front of the mirror for 10 minutes.
I remember when I was younger my dad would do my liner for me before dance and cheerleading competitions lol

I'd say try to use black eyeshadow and a small really thin angled brush, then line only your lash line suuuper close to your lashes, and then thicken it up from there. The eyeshadow shouldn't smudge like wet eyeliner does and its super easy to rub away if you make a mistake. After you're comfortable doing that I'd try doing that but then going over it with liquid liner or gel liner, and eventually you'll get the hang of most liners :)

What I find is easiest and less stressful is start out super small! Just keep that in mind when doing it, so if you make a mistake instead of making a thicker line, use a q too to wipe the spot then continue on the super thin line, also using your lashes as a guideline is super easy because all you really have to do is press the brush against the lashes/lashline and wiggle it back and forth a bit. For me thats the easiest quickest and least stressful way :)

I haven't tried cleaning up. I always messed up and quit. I have so many pictures in my phone on how to do it but it still doesn't work. I guess just more patience huh.. and cleaning up. I used rimmel pot liner with an ugly tiny brush, I'm definitely getting an angled brush, I feel like it would be so much easier.

I have one from EcoTools. I think I got it in a set, but it works great for a drugstore brush.

You can get it at Walmart. Mine is real technics. I can't do eyeliner either. So I just use eye shadow.

My cousin recommended liquid liner, but doesn't it smudge like crazy too? I haven't really tried anything from ecotools yet, I've tried real techniques though!

I actually hate a winged eyeliner brush! I thought it would make my life so easy but as I have always stuck to a thin liner brush, it's made the application totally different and messes up!
However some people find it a lot easier and I hope you benefit! It can be really tricky some times. I always like to pull my eye when doing a wing so I get a nice straight line. Sometimes this transfers to the upper lid if it's not set so I sometimes so over it with a black eyeshadow to help set it. Hope you get it sorted :)

I had the same problem. The easiest way for me was using gel liner with a flat brush! It made it so much easier. And most gels don't have that weird shiny look that liquid liners give.

Also use tape the first few times you do the gel and brush! It'll help so much.
