I've been thinking of buying this palette for a while now. What do you all think of it? Also when it says "Precautions: Slowburn, Savage, Jilted and Urban are not intended for immediate eye area." What exactly do they mean?

Thanks!!

I would suggest going to the store and swatching it first. Quite frankly I was very disappointed with this palette when I saw it in store. I was underwhelmed to say the least, but I really don't like UD's products anyways.

"not intended for immediate eye area" really means it shouldn't be used on the eyes. Normally high pigmented oranges and pink are not eye safe. We have chromographic liners like this at mac. However what you choose to do with the colors the company can't control once the product is in your hands.

Although UD is by far my favorite brand I really think this is the best most "out of the box" pallet they have ever made, the pigmentation is insane I personally love it, I use all the colors in the eye area, like Tiffany said the company's have to put a label on there products to cover there end, but what you choose to wear tjem at is up to you (:

I love it. urban decay shadows are my favourite. and they have sooooo many similar shades of brown, cream etc.it was great to see them do something more exciting. and kelly is bang on, pigmentation is brilliant.

Soooo they make eyeshadows that are not supposed to go on the eye... is it just me that find this really weird?!

Hahahha @Genevieve. That's why I was wondering. I have the naked 3 palette and love it. Have been looking for brighter fun colors. Idk if I should get this or just the semi-sweet palette

I'm kinda confused... I mean UD is considered a really good makeup brand, so why the ek would they do an eye product that they feel the need to warn customers not to use on the eyes?! I am missing a part of the story or is it just really that contradictory?!

Genevieve I think it has to do with testing. I heard in other countries they have tested those bright shadows for the eye and have no issues. But in US, don't think it's been tested, or something to this effect that's why they put the warning on the label. But they colors can also be used as a blush. It's a versatile palette and honestly I love it. And I have used the Orange and bright pink on my eyes and haven't had any issues.

It's because people have sensitivities to red dyes. All of those colors have an ingredient that people are more likely to have a sensitivity to. I wear that palette on my eyes all the time! When I want to wear bright shadows without working hard I use the UD electric palette. I absolutely love it. Swatch it on your hand in the store first and see if you might be sensitive to it. 9 times out of ten, you aren't lol. But it's easier for them to say they aren't eye safe than to explain "well you might be sensitive to these, you might not"

Oh right, I was wondering what everyone was talking about because here in scotland there is no warning atall about using certain colours on the eyes. interesting vickie :)
