I'm sure someone has asked this already but I haven't been on in a few months. I'm having a real hard time with the drying process of my curly hair. I have been doing it in the mornings where I shower, put hair up in a t shirt & let it down 15 mins later and shake out with a spritz of some root lifting spray (it smells like iced tea, it's great) It's either a hit or a miss with this method but it's the best one I've found so far. I just hate that I have to wait for it to dry being the winter and walking a dog and all. My hair froze the other day and it was downhill after that. The diffuser is a hit and miss as well with my hair. I've tried overnight plopping before but my hair gets either crazy or flat in the morning. I've always put product in before but it makes it all crunchy even with a small amount..so last night I tried no product and it's curly in some spots and flat in others and extremely soft.
Do any of you have any tips for good drying methods that maybe I haven't tried? Or tips that might help improve these previous methods?
My hair is around my shoulders now. I found plopping much easier back when I had long hair (sigh)
Thanks in advance :)

Oh and if I let it dry somewhat the night before it just falls flat in the morning/or gets crazy and stuck in a clump.

Hi Hunter!
I usually use Shea Butters curl enhancing smoothie after I wash my hair. Then I use the 'shake and Rake' method. Rake and Shake Styling Technique for Naturally Defined Curls: http://youtu.be/_G9cgMqYafM
I dry them out gently using a diffuser. I usually pineapple my hair at night and sleep on a satin pillow case so they last. I hope that helps!

@kitty is the video meant to have sound? I have my iPhone turned all the way up but nothing's coming out of the speakers at all.

Don't worry I opened it in the YouTube app and it worked fine, I can't wait to try this method! I'm always looking for new methods to define my curls.

I have half curl wavy hair, and so choose to do curly hair methods. drying seems to be the worst part to deal with. I found that using Paul Mitchell's super skinny serum really helped cut down my drying time, separate and enhance my curls, and also is really light weight!! sometimes thats all I put in my hair!! Paul Mitchell is pretty pricey, so you can look for the GVR version to try it out. I hope this helps.

I spaced and forgot I posted. So sorry about that. Thank you for the responses. I've noticed that might hair doesn't want to go curl and bounce on both sides. I feel like it's denting to the right side if that makes any sense. I've tried the diffuser method the last two days and it's not so bad but I feel like I'm getting more curl on one side. I'm devoting time to both sides so not sure what is going on with that. I do the rake and shake method and it works much better than before.
Thanks! :)
