I use powder foundation, bit every tutorial I see done always uses liquid. Is there a big difference between them or does it not matter.

The difference is the consistency. Liquid also caters to more skin types since there's different finishes, where as powder is most usually matte or can be illuminating

Powdered foundations— They give less coverage and they leave you with a matte finish.
Liquid foundation— They are capable of giving you a really high coverage. Also, different liquid foundations leave different finishes!
I would recommend you a liquid foundation as they tend to look more natural and less cakey! :)

My powder photograph well. They photograph better because they're usually matte in my opinion!
