So today I went and got a tattoo, and just wondering how to shower with it safely. Any tips?

Just wash over it with your hand...don't scrub with a sponge or wash cloth.
be careful when you're dying too. only pat it dry preferably with a paper towel and not a bath towel

I don't use soap on fresh tats to avoid don't them out. And everyone says use a&d but use aquaphor. It won't pull out the color. Or ink. A&d is designed to pull out bacteria. Aquaphor locks on moisture, aka color. And the first two nights I had clients do a thin layer of aquaphor just enough to see it on the skin but not a bunch and then put saran wrap on it. Weird but it keeps the skin from drying and scabs super low... At minimum you know. Just if you want it take it for what it's worth but I still tattoo, so I think it's valuable information

Use an unscented hypoallergenic body wash (check the baby section for something super gentle) and avoid passing over the tattooed area with a loofah or washcloth.

Don't wash it, don't put it directly under the water either. Just cup the water and trickle it over the tattoo.
